Community Action Pioneer Valley, Inc. (CAPV) is seeking a well-organized professional to assist the administrative team. CAPV, a non-profit multi-service agency serving 27,000 people a year in western Mass., announces an opening, due to retirement, for our Director of Facilities.
The Director of Facilities will oversee the overall management and building safety of approximately 25 agency locations, throughout Franklin, Hampshire, and Western Hampden counties, including 8 Early Education and Care sites. Responsibilities include ongoing assessment, monitoring, reporting and planning, ensuring healthy and safe physical environments for very young children and their families, participants/clients, and staff in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations and guidelines. This position reports to the Associate Director of Operations and supervises a Facilities team of 7 staff.
The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree in a related field; 5 years supervisory and facilities management experience; experience with small to medium sized building renovations (including HVAC, electric, and plumbing systems); experience with bidding of capital projects; experience with short and long term planning; online work order, monitoring and reporting systems; working knowledge of local, state and federal building codes; be or become knowledgeable about EEC licensing requirements, Head Start/Early Head Start regulations, Davis Bacon and prevailing wage laws. Salary range $91,936 - $97,533.
