Description
As part of National Fire Prevention week the Amherst Fire Department will be hosting our annual Open House at the Central Fire Station in downtown Amherst. Vehicles and equipment will be on display, there will be live demonstrations including fire extinguisher training with a live fire prop and vehicle extrication using the "Jaws of Life." Fire prevention and other safety information will be available Give-aways and refreshments. Smokey Bear will also be stopping by. Held rain or shine. Free of charge.
