The Amherst Historical Society and Museum presents its third juried art show ? In My lady?s Parlor ? at the Simeon Strong House, 67 Amity Street, Amherst through December 5th. An artists? reception and award presentation is scheduled for Thursday, November 5th, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Strong House. The public is invited to attend both the reception and the art show. A portion of art sales from the show will benefit the historical society. Eva Robbins-Davies, this year?s juror, selected the prize winners. First prize was awarded to John Krifka for his oil on panel ?Lady Apples.? The richly toned black and white photograph ?Beyond the Rim? by Jim Barnhill received the second place award and Stephen Schreiber?s wood sculpture ?Parlor Music 2? was named third place.
