Building on the successes and lessons learned from the #MyLocalMA and #LoveMyLocal campaigns, guest speakers Emily Must of the Isenberg School of Management at UMass and Dan Buendo of Envision Marketing Group will provide us with some marketing and outreach tips and guide us through workshopping some ideas we can bring back to apply in our organizations.  

This will also serve as a networking opportunity for you to introduce yourself to and meet fellow Chamber members. 

Our Guest Speakers

Emily Must is a faculty member in the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She joined the Sport Management faculty in the Fall of 2016 and became Director of Internships and joined the Graduate Faculty in 2018. She considers herself a ‘utility player’ in the  Sport Management department where she teaches a variety of classes and more a ‘learning consultant’ in the Masters of Business Administration programs, where her focus is Marketing Strategy and which regularly include facilitating consulting projects with students and local businesses. She is an active member of student campus community, advising the McCormack Student Leaders and  Women in Sport Management clubs, sitting on the faculty board for Delta Sigma Pi and the Isenberg Suite Shop and participating as a member of the Newman Center Finance Committee. Emily grew up working in a family business and enjoys connecting the local and University communities through the learning process. In her spare time you’ll find her hiking the Notch or in the kitchen trying to recreate her favorite restaurant meals.

Dan Buendo is the man, the myth, and the legend when it comes to Envision. WAY back in 2003 he started offering web design services to local businesses under the Reminder Web Design name which eventually grew to become Envision Marketing Group, a full service marketing and advertising agency, launched in 2010. As EMG's faithful leader, Dan’s favorite part of his job is the creativity and the ability to work on such a wide variety of projects and challenges for our clients. No matter what industry your business is in, he’ll get to know you and your business goals to help take your marketing to new heights! He graduated from the Isenberg School of Business at UMass Amherst with a degree in Marketing and spent time living in Boston before returning to Western MA. Dan plays in a men’s hockey league, so you’ll often find him leaving the office with skates in hand. He and his wife, Deb, live in East Longmeadow with their dog, Bruin (who’s made a few appearances in the office), and love to travel to Charleston and Philadelphia to visit their children. He’s an avid Boston sports fan and tries to make it to at least one Bruins game a season. Ever wonder what his secret talent is? Rumor has it he can play a killer version of “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” on the piano!
