Business Relationship Manager

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Business Relationship Manager will be responsible for sourcing and managing commercial relationships, driving loan and deposit growth, and supporting the full sales cycle in collaboration with internal teams. They will play a key role in expanding our presence across Western Massachusetts by engaging with small to mid-sized businesses, real estate developers, and community influencers. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with a strong network of Centers of Influence (COIs) and proven expertise in commercial real estate and business lending.
 
Key Responsibilities
·         Acquire and manage commercial relationships to grow memberships, deposits, and loans.
·         Develop and maintain business deposit products and services.
·         Build and expand a network of COIs and participate in local business and community events.
·         Conduct financial and credit analysis for commercial real estate and business loans.
·         Structure, underwrite, service, and document commercial loan transactions.
·         Manage a profitable portfolio of commercial members with tailored financial solutions.
·         Collaborate across departments to institutionalize relationships and cross-sell products.
·         Educate members on Credit Union solutions and connect them with community resources.
·         Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Requirements
·         Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) required; concentration in Economics, Math, Accounting or Finance preferred.
·         Credit training in business and/or real estate lending required.
·         Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a plus.
·         Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial real estate and/or business lending.
·         Demonstrated success in structuring, underwriting, servicing, and documenting commercial transactions.
·         Strong local network of COIs and business contacts.
·         Working knowledge of business cash management service needs.
·         Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.

Summary
Hours:
Full Time - Exempt
 Telecommute Status: Flexible (Must be able to report to Hadley, MA as needed).  Candidate will be expected to travel to various locations in Western Massachusetts (Hampshire, Hampden, Franklin, Berkshire, Worcester Counties) as business requires. 
 Reports to: Chief Commercial Officer
 Salary Range; Grade 12: Min - $72,387    Mid - $90,484   Max - $108,581
