About Us

Established in 2011, Craig's Doors is a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization serving our unhoused and vulnerable neighbors. We operate the year-round adult emergency shelter, daytime Resource Center, and Low-Threshold Housing & Service programs in Amherst. Our programs are low-barrier, behavior-based and radically accepting in order to serve the most marginalized and at-risk in our community.

Craig’s Doors Resource Center is the primary point of access to our services and provides a low-barrier daytime space in Amherst for adults experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or economic hardship. Community members can access showers, snacks, Wi-Fi, mail services, survival gear, case management and more. The Resource Center also fosters social connection by offering a welcoming community space where individuals can build relationships with staff and peers while connecting to housing resources and supportive services.

For information about shelter bed availability for our individual adult congregate shelter, contact 413-256-0704.
