Hayes and singers from area ensembles, including Amherst College, Da Camera, Hampshire Choral Society, Hampshire Young People's Chorus, Illumine, Pioneer Valley Cappella, Amherst Regional and Northampton High Schools, will join forces to share in communal music making. Arianne Abela, Todd Fruth, Paige Graham, Sheila Heffernon, and Geoff Hudson will conduct. Frostiana was commissioned in 1959 in celebration of the Amherst Bicentennial and Frost's 85th birthday. To honor their participation in the chorus for the initial commission, The Hampshire Choral Society alone will perform the first movement, "The Road Not Taken." "A Girl's Garden" will include the Hampshire Young People's Chorus. Supported in part by a grant from the Amherst Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
