When journalist Melanie D.G. Kaplan adopted her beagle Hammy, all she knew was that he had spent nearly four years in a research lab. Join for a conversation at Amherst Books between Melanie Kaplan and Susan Howe, President and Founder of The Aisling Center, and meet some former lab dogs, or those who were rescued before becoming a lab dog.
