Come to Amherst to explore Emily Dickinson's passions as poet, gardener and cook. This new educational and interactive program, a fundraiser for the Unitarian Universalist Society of Amherst, will feature authors Marta McDowell (Emily Dickinson's Gardens) and Aife Murray (Maid as Muse: how servants changed Emily Dickinson's life and language), and Jane Wald, Executive Director of the Emily Dickinson Museum. Participants will enjoy private tours of Dickinson homes, collections and landmarks, and hands-on experiences led by McDowell and Murray to help them delve more deeply into the poet's love of botany and baking.
