This financial Seminar will provide women with an overview of the fundamentals of financial wellness especially as it relates to saving, investing and retirement planning. The basics in each core area are covered as they relate to women’s lives with specific data about how women perceive financial wellness and important considerations to achieve a healthy financial life. We will cover the fundamentals of sound financial planning and hear an up-to-the-minute overview of the financial markets and the impact of COVID-19 on the economy. Presenters: Joanna Ballantine and Allen Davis.
Joanna Ballantine is a Financial Representative who joined the business after a 20-year career as a non-profit executive with the Harold Grinspoon Foundation and The Trustees of Reservations. Joanna is a native resident of Amherst. Along with her husband Clay, she is actively involved in a number of local, regional and national boards including the Kestrel Land Trust and the Hitchcock Center for the Environment. They live in Amherst with their daughter Hannah who attends Hampshire College and son Caleb who is a student at Hartsbrook High School.
Allen Davis is a Certified Planner Professional and Chartered Financial Consultant with close to two decades of experience as the Founder and Managing Partner of The Davis Financial Group. A 50+ year resident of Amherst, Allen and his wife Judy are active in civic life and the arts in the community. They have two sons -- Lou, who is a partner of the firm, and Eric, a playwright, composer, and software development manager. His three grandchildren, Asher, Izzy and baby Margo Lily are the best grandchildren in the world, of course!
