DESCRIPTION:No one should have to choose between their job and their family\, or their own health. MA's paid family and medical leave program is now available\, and most MA workers have the right to take paid leave. In this presentation\, attendees will learn more about their rights under the law\, who is covered\, how the program works\, and what benefits are available to individuals and families under this program. This program provides temporary income replacement and job security to eligible workers who are welcoming a new child into their family\, are struck by a serious illness or injury\, need to take care of an ill or ailing relative\, and for certain military considerations. Come learn your rights under the program. Presentation by: Diana Painter is the Deputy Director for the Coalition for Social Justice & Alex Risley Schroeder co-facilitates the Economic Opportunity Team of Massachusetts' Essentials for Childhood Initiative.
