When Fumiko Ishioka of the Tokyo Holocaust Museum received from the Auschwitz Museum a battered suitcase with the name ?Hana Brady? painted on it, he set out to discover the details of Hana?s life. After finding her brother George, he learned that as small children the siblings had been sent to Thereisenstadt after the Nazi invasion of Czechoslovakia. A superb musical score, coupled with dramatic reenactments, catches us by the heart to invoke the tragedy of the times in this film of astonishing power and hope.
